November Image of the Month

The topic for this months image of the month was open and was voted on by attending members of the show and tell on Tuesday 25th.

Congratulations to this months winner, Joe Tully.

The winning entry is featured below along with a brief insight from Joe immediately after the image.

Through the Veil

This is a fairly simple composite of two images.

The original, at Kilmacurragh was shot in black and white infrared and has had the colour added  to taste by making a split toned version. Over the top of this has been laid a fairly high contrast black and white shot of, I kid you not, a combed layer of mashed potatoes in a baking tray. The blending mode was set to Lighten, the composite flattened and the curve adjusted to taste. That’s it!

Happy Christmas to one and all!
